Our client is a leading global provider of support services, operating in approximately 45 countries across six continents and employing over 12,000 people in their two main businesses. Headquartered and listed in Australia, the company has total assets of US$5.0bn. With the desire to be the world's leading provider of innovative business solutions in support services, the company believes that all things begin with the customer.
The European Audit team is based in Surrey and now require an additional, high potential manager to lead part of the audit process. This is seen as a career development role, in which incumbents are expected to spend three years developing their understanding of the businesses and building a high profile with senior management before moving to an appropriate management position. Working closely with the European management teams, the role is responsible for conducting internal audits of business and financial processes with a view to providing independent, objective assurance to the Audit Committee and business management on the adequacy and effectiveness of business processes, risk management and control, together with insightful, commercially focused recommendations to improve those processes.
With a minimum of 10 years' experience gained in a Big Four and a corporate background in audit, you will ideally have an MBA or equivalent post graduate degree. You will be able to adopt a partnership approach with senior executives whilst maintaining an independent viewpoint allied with excellent time management and organisational skills. Additionally, you will be a dedicated professional with integrity and strong reporting, communication and people management skills. Travel of up to 40% maximum across the region with occasional trips further afield, the company is working on bringing the travel element down further. Languages skills are ideally English, French and Spanish, however, the company will consider candidates without these specific languages.
