| Our client is a leading private equity firm specialising in the smaller end of the middle market in Europe, the US and Asia. Founded in the late 80s it has completed over 150 acquisitions and won a reputation for transacting deals quickly and efficiently. With offices across the world, the company has nearly $US 2bn in capital under management and has achieved top quartile returns for its investors. Reporting into the Partner for Sourcing & Origination, Europe, this position is a good entry point into an exceptional company which can offer excellent personal and professional development. The Financial Analyst will work with Deal Originators to assess and understand the facts behind new opportunities and to decide which deals match the company investment criteria in order to present to the investment committee. Proactive research to identify leads on a new deal opportunity is a vital component of this role. Candidates are likely to have a background in investment banking, strategy consulting, leveraged lending or corporate finance and an MBA qualification is desirable. They will be strong in financial statement and strategic analysis knowing how to read and evaluate a business based on its financial performance. As this role requires the synthesis of a wide range of information across many industry sectors, accuracy and attention to detail are vital as are organisational and time management skills.
