Our client is a global leader in the world of power generation and they set the standard for innovative and environmentally friendly technology, services and products. The company designs, manufactures and supplies state-of-the-art products and systems to the power generation markets and is widely regarded as one of the global players in this industry. Our client is seeking two Business Internal Control Managers to be based in Paris which are critical international positions covering a wide international region.
The successful candidates will report to the VP of Internal Controls and manage key business projects within the respective business units to meet top management expectation of corporate governance and compliance with company guidelines. This entails taking a lead role in initiating process and business change by working with multi-functional teams to challenge existing business processes with regard to internal control consequences. Essentially this means carrying out special projects set by management; acting as reference point within the business and region for Internal Control processes; participating in training and awareness sessions to improve skills and awareness; involvement in establishing new business units, i.e. working on cost-related projects and integration of processes; resolving conflict resolution between country business and HQ; providing analysis and presentation on Internal Control Project Plan for regional businesses and managing follow-up with business for reviews undertaken by Internal and External Auditors ensuring that issues are addressed and communication is open and agreed.
Candidates will possess a combination of technical audit and internal controls experience within an international business environment and want to be part of an international team that travels circa 50% throughout Europe as well as to Dubai, China, Japan, India and Latin America. European language skills must include fluency in English and there should be a desire to move towards a financial leadership role after 2-3 years. Candidates must be flexible and creative in their approach, and have the self confidence and gravitas to be able to challenge management and processes.
