Director - Structured Loan Syndications, Energy

| As our client has grown its commercial finance business in Europe, the Capital Markets team has also grown, supporting the origination effort both through syndication and placement of deals and also sourcing participation business. In order to support the rapid growth in its business in the EMEA region, which has won six debt mandates over the last 12 months, the Group needs a Director - Syndications to develop its debt placement capabilities in energy project finance. Part of a team of 20 based in London but working across the whole of Europe, the Director will provide syndication expertise at a senior level within the organisation. They will work closely with the debt originators to structure, price, underwrite and close deals, using market knowledge to ensure pricing-to-win market-beating transactions. Liaising with internal and external clients, the Director will be responsible for the successful management of all stages of projects, from distribution and pricing through due diligence and strategy to investor coverage, signing and fee distribution. Key requirements for this role include: • extensive transaction expertise and a developed network of investor relations in the European energy sector; • record of success in designing financial solutions in the European energy marketplace; • at least 5-8 years' experience of structuring, syndicating and closing structured commercial finance transactions; • strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking and knowledge of the market in order to contribute to the strategic development of the Capital Markets' business.
