| Our client serves a broad range of debt financing needs across the energy market, from power and renewables to strategic infrastructure and oilfield services. Built on their 100+ year record in energy innovation and more than a quarter-century in energy finance, the company's expertise gives them a real competitive edge in the provision of structured energy project and leverage finance. Entering the EMEA market in 2006 as a participant in a number of key deals, business in 2007 has more than quadrupled, with joint or lead mandates in six deals including one Deal of the Year. Our client is now looking for a Director of Debt Origination to drive continued growth in Europe. A key player in the Debt Finance Origination team, the Director will source, originate and close energy debt deals - including project finance, acquisition finance, leverage finance and ABL - developing lead arranger opportunities for the business. Working closely with other parts of the organisation, the Director will build relationships throughout the European energy sector in order to develop and implement an energy debt origination and execution programme that will meet or exceed annual targets. Key requirements for this role include: • European energy industry experience; • strong, established energy industry and banking relationships across Europe; • origination and transaction skills, with the ability to identify, screen, manage and close deals successfully; • 4-8 years' experience, including the structuring of complex debt transactions.
