| This multinational business has many structured training and development programmes in Europe, the USA and Asia for experienced high potential employees. As a Fortune "top 50" company, selling its products and services in over 100 countries and employing tens of thousands of people, this is a company that a lot of people are proud to be part of. One of their finance development programmes is specifically geared towards Audit Managers and Senior Audit Managers who join from one of the "big 4" firms. These external candidates join our client as Financial Controllers and within five years are promoted to Finance Director in either local or regional roles. The first two years are within international controllership where candidates learn about the challenges of international financial reporting and technical complexities, supporting acquisitions and integration as well as participating in special projects in cross functional teams. The next three years will bring two other challenging Finance Manager positions in the commercial side of the business, i.e. working closely with the sales and marketing or commercial teams with P&L responsibility. Interested candidates will be second or third year Audit Managers, or first or second year Senior Audit Managers who do not have a strong desire to become future Partners. Specific requirements include good audit experience in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS, international mobility (as the first two years will mean being seconded to the USA and Europe for short periods), good levels of self confidence and a strong desire to be part of a high performance business culture working alongside other people from different cultural backgrounds within financial controllership. Their training programme for experienced hires is highly regarded by other companies as is their ability to develop the careers of experienced employees.
