Our client has sales in more than 100 countries worldwide and their brand ranks alongside other global companies such as Microsoft, IBM and Hewlett Packard. They provide next generation technology and services to the healthcare sector and compete aggressively with a small number of other specialist global companies. There are many reasons why Audit Managers and Senior Audit Managers leave the big '4' audit firms to join this exceptional multinational. One key benefit is its ability to train and develop experienced finance candidates in controllership positions and progress them towards Finance Director or other operational leadership positions. Our client invests well over $1 billion per year in training their employees. A large majority of their Senior Management team around the world were promoted from within and this statistic provides real evidence of the numerous internal opportunities. They are currently looking for a Senior Audit Manager to work alongside an experienced International Controller covering EMEA and Asia. This international region has over 90+ legal entities operating in more than 50 countries. One of the two largest controllership positions in this international business, this role requires extensive interaction with external and internal customers, commercial and operational teams, business development and integration and regional finance teams with clear visibility to US and European Senior Management. Challenges will include US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements as well as providing US GAAP technical support to the international businesses. The successful candidates will support the CFO, the International Controller and other finance teams on key business initiatives such as managing finance integration and supporting acquisitions teams with due diligence activities. Candidates should possess the following qualifications: fluency in English and a good cultural fit with the US business culture; extensive experience of auditing local and international companies in accordance with US GAAP from any European office of a Big '4' audit firm, strong communication skills and the ability to describe issues and proposed resolutions as well as having strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Real ambition and a desire for fast career development is also important as this controllership position will span two years before moving into a commercial or operational finance position as part of ongoing progression towards a Finance Director role.
